Q. How can I access Holistic Horizons services?

A. As an NDIS registered service we are welcoming participants who are registered with the scheme, along with those currently under Your Life Your Choice funding. We also offer fee for service. Just give us a call to discuss in detail.

Q. What services do you provide?

A. Current services include community access, personal care, domestic assistance and short term respite accommodation. THE HAVEN, THE COTTAGE AND THE RETREAT – are all brand new 4 bedroom houses located at Newport, which offer a quieter and more relaxed atmosphere with new and modern facilities, best suited for those looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of life whilst still being only a stone’s throw away from all the peninsula has to offer. There are also games rooms available at these locations, as well as the internet and Netflix. offer individual support, and also small groups (up to 3 people).

Q. What’s different about Holistic Horizons Support Services?

A. As a family owned and operated business, it’s easy for us to be responsive to your needs. We are very person centred – our clients are at the centre of our business, and we do our best to support them to achieve their full potential. We also value family input, and pride ourselves on our clear and open communication – you will always know who is going to be caring for your loved one, and if there are any unavoidable changes, we will let you know as soon as possible.

IN-HOME CARE: Do you need help with day to day living? Our Support Workers can help you with anything from cooking, cleaning, showering, yard maintenance and anything else you may need help with around the home.

SUPPORT COORDINATION: This support will assist you to build the skills you need to understand, implement and use your plan. A support coordinator will work with you to ensure a mix of supports are used to increase your capacity to maintain relationships, manage service delivery tasks, live more independently and be included in your community.

SUPPORTED INDEPENDENT LIVING (SILs): Are you looking to move out of home and live independently or as a group? We can help with your daily tasks life to help you develop the skills necessary to achieve this!

Q. What sort of activities do you provide?

A. Our clients enjoy a wide range of activities which help them to make the most of recreation time, and also become involved in their community. The possibilities are endless… we can take you to all your appointments, take you out for activities such as horse-riding, sailing, bowling, swimming etc, meet new people and form friendships, volunteer in the community (eg. we do a weekly breakfast club to help feed the homeless) visit theme parks, and much more. If a client wants to do an activity we haven’t done before, we’re very happy to accommodate them if at all possible. We also support them to become as independent as possible and teach life skills at every opportunity.

Q. What if I want a job?

A. We can support people seeking employment by providing a support worker to help them transition to the workplace until they are ready to go solo.

Q. When can I access support?

A. We understand that for some, the 9-5 operating hours don’t always suit, so our dedicated team is available 24/7 to fit in with what you require. Evenings, weekends, no problem! Holistic Horizons pride ourselves on our communication with both clients and families and we will always go the extra mile to make sure you feel valued. Our compassionate and experienced carers are here to help you do life your way!

A. Brisbane and surrounding suburbs, with our head office located on the Redcliffe Peninsula.

Q. What types of disability do you support?

A. Current clients include people with autism, intellectual disabilities, cerebral palsy, visual impairment and people who are non-verbal. Our experienced carers have also supported people with various other disabilities over the years.
